General Appraising & Consulting Services, Inc. (GACS) offers versatile residential appraisal services in the far Western North Carolina area. Our primary residential area includes Graham and Swain Counties as well as all of the Tribal Lands owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) located within this region. We offer a secondary residential coverage zone including Cherokee, Clay, Macon and Jackson Counties. Within our secondary coverage zone assignments are considered on a case by case basis. We have the expertise to handle assignments ranging from the typical single family residence to the complex high-end resort home. We not only offer appraisal services for traditional mortgage related needs but also focus on litigation, equitable distribution, estate planning, and other complex assignments requiring the detail necessary to provide valuation information and advice needed by today’s market participants. We have completed appraisals destined for the secondary market and are FHA compliant while being cognizant of the many guideline requirements each has.
Our well seasoned team of appraisers have many years of knowledge and experience with a wide array of residential properties and services. We have experience in new and proposed construction, resort lakefront and golf course homes, townhomes, condominiums, and manufactured housing. Our services include appraisals for conventional mortgages, PMI removal, FHA mortgage appraisal, REO services, pre-foreclosure and write down purposes, and field review needs.
